Ali blends their numerous skills with corporate expertise, fostering cultural change and engagement
Ali is an Equality, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (EDEI) consultant (and award-winning comedy performer on the side) helping companies put the joy into cultural change and business training. Their approach blends skills developed over ten years of performing and teaching improvised comedy with an established track record of developing multinational executive communications in the corporate sector.
Ali also has extensive experience supporting senior executives and organisations in their diversity and inclusion strategy. Fundamentally, they believe that change works best when people feel inspired and involved – engagement and co-creation underpin all aspects of their EDEI work. Ali works closely with their clients as an additional member of the team, helping to build on existing infrastructure and ensuring that the organisation feels full ownership for their cultural change.
When it comes to training, their joyful approach, which is immersive and full of participation, leaves people with a solid understanding and lots of excitement.
Ali's focus is on creating safe spaces in which delegates can discuss and explore tricky topics and find their own routes to a better understanding. They have developed a uniquely safe and nurturing teaching practice that is enjoyed by people across the world.
Ali's side job (as mentioned!) involves developing their 5* show ‘Touch Hunger’, which debuted at Brighton Fringe in 2021. In 2018, they delivered a TEDx talk on Gender as a Performance, which has been watched over 20,000 times. What they have learnt in these spaces informs their empathetic, vulnerable, and creative approach.
Ali's current consultancy work is focused on delivering tailored Equality, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion interventions such as workshops, training and consultation on Trans and Non-Binary Inclusion, Gender Diversity, LGBTQ Inclusion and Cultures of Belonging.
Their clients include:
BrightLocal, Aviva, Manchester Fertility Clinic, Ditch the Label, University of Oxford, Retail Risk.
